A minute into the game, I already knew that this was one of my favourite mobile games of all time. And the more and more I played it, the more it obviously deserved as much praise as it can get. Its got perfect controls, straightforward menus, its clear that this was made for mobile from the ground up. A must have, hands down

Best game ive played for a long time the music is so catchy i play it on guitar the developers did a fantastic job now we need a volume for the sound and music. Other than that best game ever.

Seriously addictive game, well worth the price. Beautiful visuals, fun game play and great style. It reminds me of Kid Icarus where you fall instead of climb. Try it out you wont regret it.

I had given this game five stars earlier this year. I stopped playing this game a while ago, but then two days ago I picked it up again and it was just as much (if not more) fun.

Well lets just say this got editors choice for a reason. Addicting! Nice smooth gameplay and a solid design! 10/10! Amazing!

This is probably my favourite mobile game of all time, but if you have an iPhone 4, the experience is subpar. The games page on the App Store states its recommended you have an iPhone 5 and above to be able to play it. I thought Id take a chance and get it anyways on my iPhone 4, but the game runs at 1/4 of its regular speed (which almost makes it easier, but a lot less fun). Just a PSA for anyone whos rocking an older phone.

Its been a while since I played a simple game on the iPhone, since the entertainment factor of most iOS games tend to wear off quickly. However, Downwell reminds us of the genius straightforwardness of the original Super Mario games and smooth gameplay. While I dont usually purchase games for my iPhone, this one is a must have.

Mobile shooters were either too simple or to difficult to play. Downwell is a perfect compromise. It wouldnt be so good without its 8bit graphic, it doesnt need any more colors. Action is fast, visuals are impressive. One of the few exceptional games in appstore.

The game is really great. Love it. But for some reason the game is just way slower on my device which makes it too easy and destroys the feeling

One of my favorite games of 2015, absolutely fantastic in every aspect. Its quick, fun and brutal but fair, and most importantly the controls feel SO good, its incredibly rewarding just for how good it feels to play it!

Amazing game!! some of the most fun ive ever had on a mobile game!! Only problem I saw was with the cave bat enemy. I think you might need to nerf them in an update or something, they are quite the pests!!

It would be great if the buttons worked all the way at the top of the screen so you could hold your phone near the top to play without obscuring your vision the entire time.

I absolutely love this game, dont get me wrong. There are just a few features that hold it back from perfection. First off, theres no save feature, so when you leave the app for like five minutes you have to restart your whole run. That coupled with the fact that runs take about 30 minutes makes the lack of a save crippling. Additionally, the game sometimes crashes when you run music streams in the background. Please fix this, lovely developers. Your game is too good not to.

This is my FAVORITE game by far. Im a sucker for these addictive games like Monument Valley, Sword and Sworcery and of course Downwell. The game is amazing but the only thing this game lacks is consistency. It crashes everytime you try to do anything outside the app - this deletes your progress. So if you need to answer a call or a text, be aware, you WILL lose your game due to the app crashing. I have an iPhone 6. Nothing has been fixed so far.

(Minor spoiler in this review) A mobile game with perfectly simplistic controls that allow for real, genuine skill based gameplay, Downwell is no lesser game than even Shovel Knight or Undertale. As an aspiring game developer going to learn at the highest rated undergrad program in the world next year, 2210 SAT score, bla bla bla, I hope I can use any clout I have to say that this is a perfect game. I can genuinely think of no real flaws, nothing to change. Every single detail contributes to the structure and progression of the game. This game subverts everything thats wrong with the mobile gaming market. Minor Spoiler: Downwell is an endless runner with an extremely satisfying ending, and still manages to provide a better value proposition than any free, or even paid, endless runner. The best dollar you can spend on iPhone.
